Zinta Aistars is a bilingual author in English and Latvian. She has three books published in the Latvian language – Mala Kausa (In An Earthen Mug), a poetry collection; Olina (Little Egg), a children’s book; Ievainots Zelts (Wounded Gold), a novella and short story collection. Zinta is the founder and editor-in-chief of the literary e-zine, The Smoking Poet.
Zinta is publications editor and writer for a health care organization in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and was writer and editor for the Kalamazoo College alumni magazine in Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA prior to that (for whom she still freelances); has published poetry, travel essays, stories, and articles in the United States, Latvia, England, Sweden, Germany, and Australia.
